Boy meets girl. Boy marries girl. Boy and girl ride their bikes into the Michigan sunset together.

It’s your classic triathlete love story.

Bobby and Elaine had the PERFECT Lake Michigan wedding. With only their closest family, they stood underneath a beautiful green and white arch (Go Spartans!) with the iconic Michigan sand dunes in the background. With such an intimate space, it wasn’t long before Nugget, their rescued pup, was trying to steal the show! A few whimpers followed by a dash for Elaine’s feet in a desperate attempt for some pets emphasized the love their little family has for each other. Her green bowtie helped her to fit in with the best man and maid of honor perfectly to round out the bridal party.

After the thoughtful and heartfelt “I do’s,” we climbed the dunes for a breath-taking view of the Michigan shoreline. And once it was time to head down, the only logical thing to do was run! Somehow, Elaine managed a full stride in her wedding dress while holding her new husbands hand. I’ve been a runner most of my life and I’m pretty sure I would have face-planted the sand as soon as I started moving if I tried that.

We made a pit-stop by the Blockhouse, which overlooks the park from the highest point in Muskegon County, before heading over to Duck Lake State Park for an awesome home-grown party! Beer from Pigeon Hill Brewing and Tacos homemade by the families are two things guaranteed to give people a good time. Pair all of that with a stunning overlook of Duck Lake and the wedding of two of the most down to Earth people I’ve ever met, and all bets are off.

It was such an honor to capture their day and I could not be happier for them. Once again, Congratulations Bobby and Elaine!
